In the Shadow of the Moon

OK, so its been a long time since I posted. Neither the men or women Tarheels won the NCAA championship. The Hurricanes didn't make the playoffs. Its spring and the weather is glorious.

I went to Washington D.C. with my daughter and some of her friends to see Lily Allen, who is just great.

And I went to the Full Frame documentary film festival and saw "In the Shadow of the Moon."

This is a documentary that is almost completed about the men who have walked on the moon. It is fabulous -- great interviews with the surviving astronauts (except Neil Armstrong who doesn't do interviews) and absolutely incredible footage. Its truly amazing. The filmmaker said it should have a theatrical release this fall with the DVD coming out in early 2008. Discovery Channel is in on this, so hopefully it will also be broadcast.

I also started reading the Pulitzer winner "The Race Beat" about the reporters who covered the Civil Rights Movement. Fascinating story.
